I got a nice set of yak trax for Christmas. Best creepers I have ever used. They run 20-30 bucks but they are well worth it.

I highly recommend yak trax.  There are three versions- plain, one with a velcro strap on the top, and a new fancy one.  I have a set of the original stretch version that I've used for 6 or 7 years that is just starting to show some dry rot.  Best thing about them is they use a spring instead of spikes or chain so they don't clog up or tear up the floor of the truck if you forget to take them off.

Stabilicers Originals are the only way to go. They hold tight to your boots and I have never slipped wearing them.

A guy Fished with this weekend had a pair similar to these and they worked great. The spikes looked rugged.

I have Kahtoola microspikes, perfect for the ice and non-technical winter hikes, best design I've seen.

I went to ktp to buy a pair of micro spikes they only had smalls. The stabilicers were 45 there was no way I was going to pay that...I decided to try them on and I was sittin on the stairs there and this random woman saw me messin with the velcro. Well she starts in to this 10 minute sales pitch on how good they are. She explained that she had ms and the stabils are the best she owned and the only ones she could walk her dog with. She totally sold me. I have used them 5 full days of 10 hour fishing and they are awesome. They look and fell heavy but the fit is very secure and they feel like part of your boots. Minimal ice buildup between soles and stabils...
May God bless and keep you always, may your wishes all come true.
May you always do for others and let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars and climb on every rung,
May your hands always be busy, may your feet always be swift.
May you have a strong foundation when the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful, may your songs always be sung.
May you stay forever young.

Yak traks have been working fine for me for a few years now. And if your wondering they provide plently of traction while drilling holes on bare ice. Also wont foul things up from being excessively sharp.

Yep...one of the best pieces of advice I got from this board. Keep extras in the sled if anybody goes out w/ me.

I was in a jam and bought a pair of HT creepers at a local store last year. They have been awesome. Very simple design and I wear them all day with no problems. Nylon harness with velcro on a 'sole" platform. I find them way better than the rubber "stretchy" type.

I think Staatsburg ice creepers are the best...if you can find them - Maine company that went out of business awhile ago but you might find them on ebay.

Hey, that is what I have.  I was beginning to think I had the only pair out there. I have never seen anyone with a pair of them. I never even knew what kind they were.   A friend of mine gave them to me brand new in the box.  All I know it was over 30 years ago and still using them today.
Fisherman's Prayer
I pray that I may live to fish
          Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
       I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
           And peacefully asleep,
That in His mercy I be Judged
              BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.
