Jiffy electric making noise

Anyone know how to quiet a squealing jiffy electric auger?    I bought it new last year and only used it a couple of times.  It is several years old as it sat at runnings and has a faded case.  Any thouhts?

If you bought it new,how can it be several years old?  I would call Jiffy. It could be a transmission bearing going out.
