Buy frozen bait on line?

The only frozen smelt I can buy locally are only about 3 inches long. I need a sourch for frozen herring or smelt on line.
  Can anyone help me on this?

  Dead bait works good here for northerns. I took a 13 pounder on a 5 inch herring this past week in 4 feet of water.

I don't know about buying bait online, but I was able to get some pretty nice frozen Herring from a local fish market. The frozen Herring I got was between 10"-12" long and came in a box of about 40. I would imagine that if you did a little research you might find someone to ship them to you. I live in close proximity to a larger city and finding a fish market is not a problem. I hope you can find some big boys because it's the only way to go. Good luck and good fishing

might be worth a try to ask the seafood guy at your local grocery store if he can order some, you would probably have to get a box of them... ive heard of people doing that in the past
