Tip up storagei
« on: Dec 09, 2016, 12:07 PM »
What you guys use to store tip ups until you're on the ice? I usually have no problem storing them vertically in five gallon buckets but I guess I'm looking for a long yet short in height Tupperware maybe? Might stick to what I've been doing the last few years just wondering what everyone else does

4" or 6 " PVC pipe. one for each trap. Put them in a milk crate. Keeps lines and hooks from tangling up. PVC is pretty cheap for 3000 lb crush stuff and perrfed to save a little weight.

I keep meaning to try that method of tying up the line with Velcro straps. it definitely sucks to pull out a tilt on the ice and have it be all tangled up with the hook embedded someplace you don't want it to be...
