the closest place i can think of is big bear bait shop on 44 in smithfield.  it is before you get to chepachet.  you could go there and then jump on route 5 to get to the boat ramp for stump pond, or stay on 44 to fish near the police station

Oops I should have said I am coming from Cumberland so going to Big Bear would be actually driving by Stump and then backtracking.  I thought I heard of some place right on or near Stump.

Where on route 5 (farnum pike) is it located that would be perfect.  I drove around there this past weekend looking for a bait shop I heard about (must be Big O's) and drove from 116 up to passed the industrial plaza on the left where the fly fishing only pond is located and didn't see anything.  Is it further up Farnum Pike if so what side of the road is it on and is there a sign?  Any directions you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. I appreciate it.  Do you just go up and ring the bell and do you know the hours?

Be sure to get his business card, he'll deliver bait right to you on the lake!

No kiddin, his name is Brian, he just delivered a dozen and half to us yesterday on Stump. You may have to meet him on land, but he'd probably come right out to your set ups. Good guy!

That's cool thanks for the info.  Not that it makes a difference but how are his prices?
