I have always stuck with some variation of Chartruese and another color, either red, orange or green.  I've also done very well with a plain hook and a crappie minnow.  Then again, we were doing well with whatever we had down the hole.

I have found white to work well at night. Also Glow jigs as well.

I use bluish colored glo jigs a lot.  I have the hole rainbow of colors but the blue seems to outperform the rest for me.  Presentation of the jig is as or more important than the color.  I've caught tons of fish on an old jig with the paint all worn off so all that was left was bare lead on a hook.

the bare lead can catch some light on occation as ur jiggin it too. that can help attract them to it. I think that its important to keep in mind that although certain colors may work more often than others, a well set up tackle box has every availible color in the box. The trick is.... knowing when its time to try something new and being able to guess what the next color to try is. that takes experience.

Chart\glow :'( Orange\glow :'( It seams like the glow colors work best in almost any combination for night fishing. I like to mix the glow and non-glow colors during the daylight hours.
