I got a 17 1/2 inch and a 20 inch out of Lake Colechester just south of Des Moines, IA.  The smaller one weighed 3.5 and the big one was 4 lb 10 oz.  There's lots of them that size in this lake, but it's a private lake and you have to be a member or a resident.

Private Nebraska ponds.
Got a nice Black 13 incher through the ice but it seems like most of the BIG stuff has come from open water.  :( 3 White crappie at just under 15 inches.

Biggest were from Peters lake near Whitewater, Wisconsin. 4 nice Black Crappie on live minnows at night. Largest was 16.5"

Not my biggest but was a lot of fun on a tiny pond. Had no idea they could grow decent sized in only 2 acres of water (max 8 foot deep!)
Anybody else got a few photos?

my dad caught one today that was ungodly huge.. when I saw the thing I was like  :o   we thought it may have been close to a record so he went through the process...   verified by NYDEC (the officer has pics and weighed at Giant Food Mart on their deli scales)  18 7/8" and 3.53 lbs.. not a state record but for sure to go on the wall!  btw state record white is 3llb. 13 oz  or 3.8lbs or so.. and black 3lb. 12oz..   I can't imagine anything bigger than what I saw.. will post pics if I can figure out how..
