Plastics seem to be coming more and more popular for crappie, what are your favorites?

I like ratso tails and wedgees, both from custom jigs and spins.  My hottest setup lately has been a 3mm white wolfram with a glow wedgee threaded on the hook.

I did really well with a Bro's Blood worm tail on a gold Ratso head last outing. My other favorite is an orange head with an Orange Sherbert tail by CJ+spins; both were sz. 8. I would mention not to get too hung up on any one combination, as what's hot can change day to day, lake to lake, etc.

Chasepalosaari, I have been using the genz worm the most but put the nuggie tails on just about any thing. And so far the color doing the best this year is glow red.

Wedges from Custom Jigs & Spins. I like red and glow. They are easy to trim to the length you want.

I actually use the whole nuggie... but I tend to have the most luck with the glow micro nuggie.

Depends on the plastic. Check out this write up on "rigging plastics"

Go with some Nuggies... Buy them early cause (atleast around here) they sell out fast... Go with the regular size not the small ones.. Red seems to be the go to color but all of them get bites... Plenty of experience pulling 14" slabs in the piles full. I found my best success on the big head jigs purple in color

I know there's a lot of name-brand plastics out there and my tackle bag has its share. But these work! Children's "koosh" toy. Possibly a hundred lively little plastics for a buck. Pluck one off and add it to your jig. I bought one of each color. Total investment $4. Used the green, yellow and pink today. I caught and released about 50 crappies using my ice jigging rods

There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the ice looking like an idiot.

I use a lot of different ones and yes even the squishy toys, but my favorite are CJS  Finesse tails. If I only could choose one tail one color,it would be a Ratso's in chartreuse color.

I like the same as capt. 54, but in Orange Sherbert. Also Bro's Bloodworm, and others. Usually it's more a location/presentation thing. When you find numbers of feeding fish almost any lure can become your favorite.

Custom Jigs & spins in black for me... but where can I find the #12 jig w/ sickle hook?  Plain or painted.
We are where we are, cause that's where we choose to be.
