Lots of guys out on the ice tonight at Loomis we drilled all over 1" wet slush on top 6" ice below most of the lake . Its not like new ice but feels okay. The edges are soft south of the ramp to the building stay off . there is also a bad spot on the edge by the beach shore north off the point most access points look okay. edges are soft from the run off. ice should lock up and get even better with the forecast.
I would still use caution. use a spud bar, life jacket, picks , rope , PLEASE keep safety in mind any time you are on the ice.
