Michigan next weekend

Anyone interested or thinking about heading north into michigan next weekend?  Not positive yet but strongly considering it. Likely 4 hours north. Should have some decent ice even after the weather coming in again. Any thoughts?

Heading to Saginaw Bay in an hour. Fishing 1/2 day sunday full day mon and morning trip Tuesday and back home Tuesday night.

Awesome. Burt and Mullett are supposed to be pretty hot. Has also thinking about Hamlin as I have a buddy that fishes it a lot and can point in general right direction maybe. But not sure about the ice. I heard from local bait shop very sketchy surprisingly still.

Had a buddy on the main lake on Hamlin yesterday and said there was 10-12 inches everywhere he drilled. Can be a tough lake during the winter blues, but it holds a lot of nice fish. I would opt for Saginaw Bay if I was making a trip out. If you don't have transportation then see if you can find an open charter or something because it can be life changing.

Hamlin lake is awesome. Fished it for 20 years, upper and lower. Quality fish 4 sure.

The wife says we need to check out that area this summer. Looks great to me , the jet boat will love it too

If you like to camp you must check out Ludington State Park. You need to make reservations a year in advance if that tells you anything.

The ramp in the state park is nice, good parking lot and restrooms near by. Free to launch once you pay to get into the park. I think it is $7 a day.

Heading to muskegon lake for the annual sallys pike tourney.  Always a blast .  Competition is tuff but it lets u know were u really stand as far as skillz. Not very common to have a pike olny tournament.  Oh and its 100% payout . Bigfish winner. Bout time for some Indiana boys to show up  and get it on for em .

My brother lives west of Cadillac and he says they're getting hammered with snow and ice. Along with high winds! Might want to check the weather forecast, just saying I've been snow bound up there before, no fun. Good luck and be safe if you go! Hex

Weather has settled down. Free Fishing Michigan this weekend. Out of State, too. Ice should lock up again and be decent with caution.

Just left Cadillac ice is great and the fish we're biting good on lake Mitchell got some good crappies and gills out of 6 fow the bad part of the trip was pulling the shanty through all the snow but if anyone is planning a trip Cadillac would be a good choice 👍
