NW Angle of MN
« on: Jan 04, 2019, 04:41 PM »
Headed up to the NW Angle of MN tomorrow. Come back Thursday. Staying at Sunset Lodge on Oak Island. I will get a review out when I get back. If you’ve been up there and have any pointers on baits that work well in that water, don’t hesitate to reply!

Glitter gold stop signs.  Small or large depending on the bite.

Orange jigging shad raps.

Gold slender spoons.

Anything gold. But what works the best is Buckshot Rattle spoons in Red Glow and Green Glow.

Great trip.  I’ve fished the south side many times and the fish quality is definitely better in the angle. We limited easily on walleyes with several dozen we had to throw back that were in the slot. Saugers were harder to find.  I’d recommend the angle if you have the time!

We are headed up to Sportsmans Oak Island Feb 11-15. A report would be great. Good Luck
