what about a smitty sled with extended crossbars to hold the auger on one side and the flip. you could screw hardware to hold it up higher on the crossbars. maybe garage storage hangers and bungee would work on it too.
how about the harbor freight anti fatigue mats and have that under the auger and set it on the canvas. toss into the sled when your fishing or use it for a floor mat. bungee the auger down.
what about adding a support bracket(s) to the tub where you sit that slips in/out when not needed. i use cut out wheels for making slits in the top of the lip and use a drill at the end of the cuts to complete the slit(s). check out shelving hardware if nothing else to see if you can make some thing work. i'm not sure what hardware is offered for auger transport.
see if you can attach hardware to the flips hardware to hold it while the flip is in open position.
