Bobhouse comin home
« on: Mar 27, 2018, 12:00 PM »
Too bad but the bobhouse is comin home on Thursday... tons of ice, but its gotta go. We'll still fish for a bit. Was another great season. Got a some nice browns all 2lbers and all ~17-18 inches. ALL had bass rubber baits in their stomachs. Its too bad but they cannot seem to pass it. One had a 5 in rubber worm in its intestine and I thought that it would pass out, will never know. Same fish had a rubber salamander and an aditional rubber worm... it was loaded. Got a few 4 lb smallies and two 3lb slimers...they were nice fish... Love our new NFS bobhouse. Its great, I recommend them highly. Ours is gray and it blends with the gray hardwood winter forrest colors. You can hardly see it across the lake... we love it.

The state has banned lead but will probably never ban plastics, there is too much money involved.

Banning it should be the last resort, as it's more the issue of irresponsible anglers that toss old plastics that would be my first line of attack.

It makes me cringe when I see the actions of uncaring anglers that don't know or could care less about what happens when they do dispose of old rubber lures by tossing them overboard. It's the mark of a true idiot!

Only time will tell if any restrictions will ever be brought to the table regarding the use of these lures, but you never know....
