Been fishing this one spot for the last 6 years trying to catch a brown.  Not the biggest fish in the lake but it sure felt good to pull her up, take a pic then send her back down to grow some more.

Thanks for the kind words folks. I should add this isn't my first brown just my first at that spot. I have fished it only once or twice a year. 6 years ago my bro pulled one out just a little over 6lbs and ive been on a mission to get one ever since that. They stopped stocking this lake with Browns many years ago so they are far and few between. I know there are still some big girls swimming in there.

Always nice to catch a trout from a spot that hasn't been stocked in awhile.  Since it's not a holdover giant, do you think it may have come your way from another water that was recently stocked?

Thank you sir. We were wondering the same thing and it's very possible. The bio said there is some natural reproduction but it's very limited.  More then likely she was a stocked fish that traveled down into the lake.
