spud scouting, take 2!
« on: Jan 17, 2013, 04:05 PM »
seems like I did this a couple weeks back, but I will try again, going in the a:m to spud check Mitchell, Bush, Bevins( all in holly), and over to Fenton lk. I was told by folks at Grab bag, that anglers were getting out a holliway, but not way out, just by the landing, which is generally where I go.  I know what is safe is defined individually, I want 3-3 1/2 for a min.

I drove over to buttercup beach Tuesday on the north side of holloway off of my Morris rd. there were gizzard shad frozen by the hundreds along the shore ice which was a strong 1.5". Did not see anyone out there though. Give another report after the spud check! Thanks for the report. I'm new to the area so I have been waiting for that to freeze up and get out! Where is the launch exactly that you and the grab bag are talkin about?

Holliway resivoir, near Stanley and M-15  couple miles east half mile north has big brown sign on 15 for holliway, marked very well. also no hills to climb down/ up, really can't miss it
