This is my home lake and will be watching it closely. The way it looks we should be fishing next week. Let's keep

have you heard anything about redhouse or quaker lake in allegany state park any ice yet should be making ice

The lake is about 75% covered...

Cuba lake is my back yard. Looked like a lot of open water to me when I drove by it today!!

Ok did u look down by the dyke thats where the pic that i seen was taken
It was one of my scouts that sent me a pic of the dxke end... lets work together to keep the posts accurate
I'm sure my scout is just a little excited... but thanks for clearing that up i will be there in the a.m. i just need to figure out how to post pics

Anybody have a prediction for the first weekend in January? I have never ice fished Cuba and I wanted to get out somewhere before I have to go back to school in Eastern PA but it looks like this storm is taking away any chance of that happening.

I have ppl checking Alma pond tomorrow morning while they check there traps they said they would send me pics
i wish i knew how to post pics on here... if i did in would share... I'm going to Cuba tomorrow and will check the lake
i strongly believe Cuba lake will be fishable by next weekend if Not sooner

Did a drive by at about 11 a.m. and it looked good... had my daughter with me and we both said that it was 50...50
But every small pond is tightly locked up... I'm wondering about Alma pond it's smaller then Cuba and far shallower
it has to be locked up... my scouts buddy was supposed to let us know but yet to hear from him... love that lake in the afternoon for slob crappies

The lake isn't locked up yet but it will be soon....and down town only has bait machine.. whitetail in Olean
but not sure what bait they have.... normally they carry all... i do know where there is a lake that is tightly locked up that i will be fishing sunday...

I went by Alma pond yesterday. The lake is frozen over, but it's still not good ice. There's a lot of slush on it. Probably be safe in a few days.

always lookkn for good ice in wny shoot me a msg about good ice ill bring bait ffrom big catch in buffalo the next day no bs

Whitetail in Olean usually has bait but only if your willing to pay a little more for it, atleast it was that way two years ago. Anybody find good ice?

Check the R&C page - in short, its not quite safe yet. Couple dudes took a quick swim there (they made it out OK).

even in february that place is slush so my quess would be not good for a couple of weeks my uncle in machias said 2 to 3 feet of snow out that way if ne 1 checks please b cautious that place scares the hell outta me

I live 15 min away, will head up tomorrow to check it out. I know a warm spell will mess up the ice with the Ishua water shed running in. If temps stay cold the ice is normally good.

Taking a drive over first thing in the a.m. its been a few days and almost out of my grizzly wintergreen snuff so gonna check first hand the gear is already in the truck

Opened in 97, mostly summer, last 2 years been having some ice fishing bait. Work out of my house. Ordering today for tomorrow delivery hopefully. Large, small shiner, wax,spikes have to ck on mousies.

John at Bodee's bait called and said he will have the same bait as last year minus the mousies because of price... on my way to Cuba now... i will login when i get back home to give report not fishing just gonna check it out
