You'll know if it's thermal if the fabric is quilted looking. By buddy has a non-thermal and we just use one of the regular buddy heaters, but a big buddy would probably heat it better. Just getting out of the wind is key. Speaking of wind, make sure to anchor the wind-facing side down. It doesn't take much wind to send them flying...ask me how I know... You'll enjoy the shack, it's huge, so bring some friends!
