Not looking for your spot just wanted to get pointed in direction of a decent weed bed at North end of lake. I’m headed there for a fish trip at end of month. Thanks in advance

Perch, walleye, rainbow and brown trout, small mouth bass, pike, rock bass, and sturgeon are the fish species that I am aware of in Burt lake. I have not personally caught a gill in Burt lake or heard of anyone catching them in Burt lake.
Crooked lake has bluegills in it, just outside of Petoskey. Have caught a few large bluegills trolling crawler harnesses for walleyes.
Pat and Gary's in Indian river, may be able to point you in a good direction.
Good luck.

I wouldn't know where to target gills. I do know Roberts rd on the north end is a popular spot to launch out of if you need to find somewhere to go out of.

you are more likely to get on a mess of perch. set a tip up with 4 or 6 pound test in the shallows for a trout.

Can anyone give me an ice report for Burt?

Six or seven inches

Fished Burt this weekend, Maple Bay, guys were riding snowmobiles and quads out there. 10"+ of solid ice. Bite was slow, but marked plenty of fish. Good luck.
