whos going out and where. might hit wordens. i think theres pike in there to be caught!!  anyone else hear of them being in there??

They are not in there quite like they used to be 15-20 years ago, but there is still a good amount of them to be caught in Wordens. Most of the better areas to fish for them are a long walk from the boat ramp.  :tipup:

i was just fooling around. i have caught many of those toothy critters out of wordens. i was just seeing what kindof responces i would get from some of the members..

If the roads aren't too bad early morning I am probably going to hit the North Cove at Lincoln again. Only a week left to fish trout waters...

Put in some time this morning at Lincoln Woods. The bite was pretty slow...no flags in 4.5 hours. I jigged up a white perch and a crappie. I also lost two very good-sized fish - had to be bass or large pickerel. My reel broke while fighting one of them. I kept jigging with it and managed to hand line one LM.

Ha! Thanks Chepi. The reel I was using was a cheap POS...was bound to fall apart on me at some point. The first fish I lost I tried fighting it by just turning the reel manually without the handle. That didn't work out so well. After that I decided to just handlline it like you would with a tilt.

Nice work man! I haven't been able to get out and I'm usually at Lincloln Woods all the time...at least your hitting it brother! How is the slush situation? Any better?

Ballbag - the slush situation was a lot better yesterday than it was on Monday. There was a lot of ice to get through, though. I didn't measure it, but another guy who was out there estimated that it had to be a foot or better.

You going to try and get out there before trout waters are off limits?
