Tough but rewarding outing today. Pike were nowhere to be found, and took us 8+ hours to find some white perch, I ended up with a 2 pounder. Big surprise was landing 5 largemouth bass, the lunker going nearly 4 lbs.

Been on a roll all winter, just started posting to main forum recently ;)
That being said, this ice season has been one of my best to date. Eight days left until it all ends up here. Hope to get in another outing or two.

Same family as whites and stripers, not actually a perch, they just call them that.

We typically get safe ice until the end of the season on March 31st here. My last outing this year ended up on March 24th, 2 days after the outing on this thread. Only fished a few hours, got super lucky and landed my first ice musky while fishing dead bait for pike. My biggest catch on ice in 20+ years of ice fishing!
