A shack that nice must need tags for transportation.  I would think without a title they wouldn't be able to get tags and re-sell or register it?

A shack that nice shouldn't be left unattended, especially near a well traveled interstate.

It's probably being hidden in a barn, garage, or warehouse right now... where it'll get a new paint job, wheels, and other stuff to disguise it and won't be seen on the ice until next year after it is sold at the beginning of the ice season for top dollar.

This was an expensive but valuable lesson to learn.

Thanks but take your pontificating elsewhere unless you're willing to help.  And by most of your posts I can see that you're not.

Sorry for the reality check and the truth. It's not like this is the end of the world, the owners insurance company will cut him a check and he'll just be out his $250 deductable, I know $250 is a chunk of change... but it's not like losing thousands of dollars.

Don't need your reality check DB.  You have no reason to speak like you know anybody or all of the circumstances. Feel free to remove yourself from the gene pool immediately.

Sometimes its not about the money. The guy put alot of time and effort in to his hut to get it just the way he wants it and someone who doesn't appreciate that comes along and takes it and you think a guy with a check saying here start  all over again is going to make that better? WOW! YOU have obviously never built anything with your own two hands and been proud of the end result. This guy is asking for our help to find his shack. He isn't asking for a lecture of your insight and closed minded ways. Lets just keep an eye out for his AWESOME shanty and try to help and leave any negative thoughts to ourselves.

Besides that who's to say that he has insurance on it....you don't have to here in wi.   A loss is a loss...even if someone cuts you a check...its still lost memories of happy times on the ice.

Going up to balsam tomorrow...I'll take a spin around the lake for ya...hope it's found!

Sorry for the reality check

Seriously? He's got his reality - he's out of a shanty now and he never discussed his financial status or insurance

Here shacky, shacky, shacky.  Where are you boy? C'mon home.  Here shacky, shacky. C'mon back.  C'mon boy. You're out there somewhere.
Gonna pop up this weekend?

It's white with two horizontal stripes. The door will have been altered to hide the names that were written on it.

The only thing that would be worse than that would be if he was storing all of his fishing tackle and electronics in it too...
