Caught this bow late today I was surprised how easy it was to get on the ice. Fished on only 3 feet of water I was alone and didn't want to venture out too far. Put the traps out and one goes off took out a bunch of line and spit the bait. Put my "CH" JawJacker out and 10 minutes later it goes off. No skunk diploma today. Going to hit it early tomorrow.

Headed out early this morning to check "ice conditions" up north. Found a spot about an hour away to get on a pond I haven't fished in a few years. Caught (3) "Chromers" as AA would say in 5 feet of water or less. Quite a few flags. Kept one for dinner. Trying to make up for a bad year. 3 days left for me unless the weather changes.

I mademy fi sl pilgrimage today, it started great, but ended up being like the rest of the week, slow, one 18" smallie and an average white, a few stolen baits and that was it, good walking today, 3" of corn ice 10" of good ice below, it'll last a bit longer but the shores are a mess... I e had enough, I put just over 500 miles only truck this week, those that WANT to extend the season will be a less to if they use caution.. I'm ready to turn the page. Good luck to those that keep at it

Hey AA, I dumped 2 jars of Paustkies,red hots in the shallows, none were eaten..they didn't eat my crawler tails either...caught the smallie in 2' of water on a crawler... thought it was the real deal...it was fun anticipating
