Title: Mr. buddy heater vs. Dyna-glo heater
Post by: hoosierdaddy on Dec 12, 2003, 10:49 PM
I'm looking to buying one of these heaters. Anyone have any problems with either unit? They look about the same to me.  The Dyna-glo is at Menards on sale for $69.00 and comes with a carrying case that holds the unit and 2 - 1lb. bottles of propane.  Seems to be a good deal. Thanks for the help.

The only negative I've heard about the Buddy is a little wind will easily blow it out.

My son and I have both, I bought the Mr. buddy for 100 and DynaGlow for 30 on late fall close out both work great.
They also have low O2 turn offs wont kill ya in the shack.
Both have Hi/Low setting as well. Go with the DynaGlow.

I just bought the Dyna-Glow. It was about $15 cheaper and came with a real nice carrying case. They seem to be  very similar in specs.

I own a Mr heater buddy heater, works well in my Fishtrap. I think that both are almost identical in output & feature, with the exception that the Dynaglo encloses the propane can. They will blow out if it gets hit woth a strong gust of wind, but relighting is easy. I think with either units, it would be a good choice.

Tractor supply in Ft.Wayne has the Buddy heaters for $69.99. I have one and I love it. I use in in my shanty and in my camping tent.
