OK who is ready for the 2 day fishing tourney on LMR cant wait so see all the good perch fisherman on the ice, Hope we can get 75 teams talk all your Friends into coming up, even if the perch are small the prizes are well worth it , prefishing has been good for most folks hope their hungry on sat and sunday ;D ;D

you'd have to eat a ton of beer bater to get buzzed id imagine. you cant blame the compition for trying though how about you supply the sides ill bring the pepsi for you and whatever else we need to make this work. hopefully im supplying the 10 biggest perch

I get good cell service "OUT ON THE LAKE", but get to shore and I can get nothing until I get almost to the asphalt headed for Dayton.

the trick is to putt big fish on the ice this is not lewistown ;) ;)

I have verizon and had good service everywhere I was on the lake today. Apparently everyone thought I ould have been working today. I'd leave in the Truck if I were you, wish I would have!!!! hard to set the hook and reel while holding a phone to your ear.

Awesome, glad to hear the anticipation, and glad to see some more first timers coming up.
Technically, 36 hours prior to the start would be 645 Thursday evening so you are safe to fish Thursday.
Its going to be cold folks so, prepare to keep your fish alive in a cooler or bucket.
No cell phone use during the tournament except for emergency.
The Best Western White Oak is offering a discount rate...Perch Assault has a block of rooms set aside.

Allright! I got the perfect face for radio! I haven't fished that place for a while so we are trying today. Maybe we can find a perch or two. Wonder if Aaron is fishing it today. We will be in the green Argo so if you see us come by and say hi.

Anyone on the lake after 645 pm will be cut up and used for mackinaw bait. With a dull knife...

Dan and I fished Mary Ronan Wednesday and caught small perch, 5 of them iced. :icefish: The flasher marked some fish was they were real shy on the bite. The weather was periods of snow, a little wind and not too cold. Not too much slush where we were at. We had a great time out there and I can't wait for Saturday. Just hope the bite picks up.
We met bowhtr on the ice. He brought the boat motor from Great Falls that I had purchased. Many Thanks for saving me a drive to Great Falls. See you guys at Snappy's Friday night.

Good tourney and a great crowd. The fishing was tough. 1st place cleaned house, but did a good job all around. Congrats to you two...and thanks again for picking up all my stuff we yard saled. If anyone finds a St. Croix premier rod without a reel, beware it is bad luck! Thanks again Aaron for letting us stay at your place.

My little brother cleaned up with is wife 2600$ in their pockets I got 5th sum poles and gear! Great turny well run... I liked that they were strict about rules, :)

yea i would say my team had a great weekend not that it wasn't earned i prefished for a week all on foot then i was walking with my pregnant girl as a teamate who no joke is probably one of the best anglers i've been around she did well and also produced the second biggest fish of the day sunday but all in all we truly love this derby the most out of all the derbies and it was a ton of fun this weekend a special thanks from baylee and myself to mike howe and his wife cindy for all they do in a year to get this derby to happen and also to all the sponsers that helped out and people lending mike a hand watching over things

Both days top ten were seperated by a half pound or less.

Thanks for the advice there was good fish right by them red wheelers LOL. We ended up in fourth so all in all we had a hell of a weekend and had a blast. We just could not connect with anything over 10 1/2 inches all weekend. Cant wait for next year when we have multiple assaults to fish. You guys stay safe on the ice for the rest of the year. I hope to have the boat on the water in the next couple of weeks. Happy fishing guys see you on the water.

Thank you to everyone who put this on, this was my dad's and my first tourney on that side of the mountains. And it was awesome, we are coming back next year and can't wait for more assaults on this side. Special thanks to Arron for showing us around the lake a few weeks ago and to the Weller family, for all your hospitality. ;D

I do want to say thank you to mike his wife and all the volunteers for all the time and effort they put into making this the best ice fishing tournament I have ever attended. You guys put on one hell of a tournament. I am looking forward to being able to fish more perch assaluts in the future. And just for my two cents the two day format adds a lot to a tournament. I hope you guys keep this format going forward. Thanks again and hope to see you all on the water

yes my gut got in the way and the elk on 83 made it in about 11 o'clock sunday we will have to have another fish fry next time and i can pay you that shot IOU lots of ice here so I'm off to find those two pounders gl fishing

The guy who was filming has moved back east, but Chancy is supposed to be getting the footage from him. When and if we do, we will put something together.

can anybody give me rule information on the tournament. Want to come to it next year, but looking for info. Do you have to keep the fish alive or can you sort out your biggest 10? How far apart can you be from your partner? How many holes and rods can be used per person?

30 paces from teamate 10 paces from other teams and fish have to be alive as far as rods has to meet fwp regs
