Sunfish Pond
« on: Feb 22, 2007, 06:55 AM »
Can someone tell me if this is still good for fishing. I know it had some problems a few years ago and I would also like to know the lake conditions of it and if it is safe for fishing. This is the lake up by Canton Pa. Thanks Adam

I know that it is stocked with trout in spring/summer and again in the fall. I
usually fish there once or twice every spring. The answer to your question is
YES it is good for fishing.

If I had to guess, I would say that there would be a lot of ice on sunfish pond. It's on
top of Barkley Mt which is one of the highest places in Bradford County and there should
be a ton of ice there.

Will do hopefully it isn't a wasted trip up. I haven't been up there since I was like 14 so it has been about 14 years since I been there. Adam

are there springs or known weak spots? is that warning based on experience or just how warm its been lately?
thats not a ton of info and with the temps as low as theyve been the past few nights i dont think ice thickness should be an issue
i wont go out if im the only one there...thank you
