Lake Ontario fishing

I was going to post this on the soft side but forgot my password. I'm thinking of chartering a trip to Lake Ontario to experience the salmon fishing. When one Googles it you can only imagine the stuff that comes up so I decided to just ask you folks who might have experience with doing this. Any recommendations? Advice?

I have heard good things about Hat Trick charters.
Not sure where in NY you are headed, but bring some gear for casting off the piers and fishing the streams as well.
