Me and the kid both caught some nice perch just not quite enough to get paid. We had a great time and tomorrow is my day for the team event!

Just wanted to thank the Lions, and everyone that helped put on the tournament. We had a great time, came in second 21 fish 13.09 pounds......it was tough fishing. We will definitely be back next year. Tim thanks so much for your hospitality .

We had a good day today with out the wind of Saturday.  Only got one fish Saturday but it was a nice one but not in the money @ .84#.  We fished it hard this morning but missed a lot of hits.  Really light bite.  Tap tap and gone.  We got 15 fish for 9.95# and 5th place.  My first team event there but not my last.

So were there only 17 teams this year???  if so that is the lowest number of teams ever I believe!

Nice work Nonya!  Being competitive in that derby is always a nice feeling!

Is the Canyon Ferry perch derby on the same date every year? I was just wondering because this year the Pike on Ice tourney in Seeley Lake  was on the same weekend and I think they would be open to changing the date to avoid conflict. That way some of us could fish both tourneys if we wanted to.
The worse day fishing is still better than the best day working!

Okay thanks, I will let them know.
This year it was on the 4th weekend....maybe a more accurate statement is it tends to be somewhere from the 20th-25th of the month....
