Anybody fishing on Huron Bay?

We took a ride out there Saturday afternoon to look and saw a number of tents out across the bay from the A frame. There was only one truck/tent at the A frame and that tent was only a short distance from shore. Is the ice unsafe going out from that direction or was it just a coincidence?

I talked to some buddies who were out Thursday. Said it was good solid ice and some descent action.
