Where to go around Bessmer/Ironwood/Wakefield

I have family in that area and fished in Lake Gogebic, Sunday Lake, and MacDonald dam, as a kid.  Would love to make a trip back up there as an adult.  Other than Lake Gogebic, where should a guy try?  Auger extensions?  Also if you have the last name Drier we might be family.
