Looks like one starting.  On the time lapse from yesterday a crack appears parallel to the shoreline where water starts coming up.  I was up there 3 or 4 years ago and there was a pressure ridge over 2' tall in some places where the ice had pushed up...made it interesting pulling a sled down that bank and then over the ridge.

Hope it’s not going to be another year with pressure ridges everywhere. Makes it dangerous for fishing

When the early ice forms and we have strong winds it creates very large pressure ridges making very dangerous areas . People have lost there lives crossing pressures on Moosehead in years past..

There's a picture on the web taken by the pilot of a passenger jet a few days ago, I can't locate it right now. It was taken from cruise altitude and shows the entire lake looking north from Greenville, multiple cracks are clearly visible. One prominant crack extends from the north end of Deer Island past Sandbar and parallel to the Rockwood shore. As woodchip said, strong shifting winds this year probably contributed to the number and location. You never know though, if a cold blast comes through some may freeze closed and stay that way for the season. Be safe guys.

Really hope everything tightens up good once winter gets here.
Staying a whole week on Moosehead this year hate to have to deal with pressure ridges everywhere
