Yes off Innisfil Beach Park.
If I can find safe ice I may try for some whities & lakers on Saturday. Most deep water places not good ice yet.

I was indeed happy with my first whitefish through the ice, but, on this lake they get even bigger. ;)
I have heard of some of the ones they have commercially netted out of this lake reach 9 lbs and our Provincial record sits at 11lbs 8oz. :o

There are probably even bigger ones out there but, not too many folks target them, and those that do don't bother to regester them.

I lived in Houghton my whole life and I was never able to find any whitefish other than tiny menominee whitefish! Awesome pic

Post by: fisheyefool on Feb 28, 2013, 07:12 PM: yeah its a cisco. good size one! they are actually pretty good smoked. yeah you never know where you will find ciscos in the water column. they are all over the place. whitefish, 9 times out of 10 are on or just off bottom. pretty much a glorified carp! haha.

They are pretty good fried if eaten fresh and take the dark meat off teh backside. But smoked is my fav for cisco ;) That is a dandy cisco!
