Title: Disgrace on big lake
Post by: Akhardwater on Mar 21, 2018, 01:00 AM
I heard some idiot drilled a line of holes across an ice road on big lake over the weekend, does anyone know anything about this.

i believe the ice fishing guide was the one that got hit from the plow plume but i am not sure if he is the one who went and drilled the holes in the road. Either way its not good.  I would never set up next to the plowed road or park my sled on the plowed berm, one because i dont want my stuff wrecked when a plow comes by and two because you will flood the road with water.  I get sometimes the roads go right by good fishing spots but when it comes down to it people pay money to have the roads plowed and everybody uses the roads, fisherman and land owners.  Instead of the plow guy smoking their sleds with his snow plume he should have just got out and asked if they could move their sleds off the berm so he could continue to plow the road and most of the issues could have been solved pretty easily.  I like to fish a spot on louise but i cant most of the time because the snowmachine trail goes right over the spot so instead of drilling holes next to it and possibly ruining the trail i fish other places. Everyone has the rights to use the lake how they wish but a little respect from everybody will make recreating on the lake more enjoyable.
