So, when??????????/
Seems to me, that with the recent/current temps, we should be on top soon.
I was really planing on being on the ice tomarrow, but that will not happen ??? ???
-
Yeah but with in two weeks we should be good to go with 3 to 4 inches in the bays.

Two weeks???????????????? Are you mad ??? ??? hitting the pipe :cookoo: :cookoo:
This week or I'm putting the bathtub in the walk-in freezer..........

Excellent point Mark. Byron, don't forget to stock your tub. Your chances of catching something will increase ;D
-
There will be some fishable ice this weekend. If you can find a section of the lake that is protected from the wind there will be ice. The night time temps. will be cold enough in the next week to make ice, it is just getting the wind to die down.
-
I was just looking at the long range 15 day forecast for N.E.Pa. For the next 2 weeks, daytime highs hanging around 32 and night time temps in 20's and teens! And I know its 10 deg. colder up on the Mountain! ;D ;D ;D I think I better get my gear ready for next week!!

Fatboy Kevin,
If you make it to one of my programs, you'll find out that I already have a bluegill in my bathtub............. ;D ;D.............hanging around the drain............. ???..... because that is the best structure that his current environment provides ;D

I would think next Wed-Sat 4-sure, if you know how your lake sets up before that( this Sat or Sun). But I'm not going to be the one to say it is on and have someone new drop through. I would think that there is a very good chance, I will be out this Sun.

You need help Dude!!! ;D ;D ;D Don't worry FR, we'll all be fishing on ice very very soon. In the mean time, make sure your line is replaced, rod guides OK, jigs are clean and organized, auger blades are sharp, Vex battery is charged..., etc. etc...
Whoo HOOO, it'll be crackin' and boomin' before ya know it. Jeez I love it when the ice booms and builds!

Fastrtib, I am finding the same thing. Ice in the morning and none when I go home. >:( The wind is really killing our ice making. If we can only get a few nights to get things locked up the wind won't matter. High winds the next few days and then maybe a snow storm. Then it looks like the really cold nights go away for a few nights. :-\ :'(

nutter where are you from i live outside of philly
-
Central Pa in Altoona.
-
Lets's hope this snow storm misses us. We don't need 3 to 6 inches of snow on top of our skim ice. >:( The big lakes will be okay because most of them have not froze over yet. The smaller lakes that have skimmed over may take a little longer to make ice with the snow. Snow, Snow, Go Away.
