Where is the ice in ny

I see that people are icefishing but where is the ice in the Adirondacks

If you take a drive up into the Dacks there might be fishable ice on some smaller ponds, but I don't know. Last year I took a drive up and found a nice little pond on the side of a back road and it had 3" of ice. I did not get any fish but it felt good to stand on ice.

All you have to do is find out what ponds are open to ice fishing, there is no secret about it. I was in the dacks last weekend and small ponds were iced over and small bays along the fulton chain, 5th was completely iced over, Old Forge Pond had spotty ice, and you would have to nuts to walk out on them in the middle of winter too much current for me.

Yes 5th and Old Forge pond are closed, I was just mentioning that the were the only significant water bodies with ice. We have a little ways to go.
Back to my original question what ponds are open to ice fishing, I'm trying to find some listed but I can't.
