Eskimo Mako Leaking at the gas tank
« on: Jan 07, 2011, 06:03 PM »
So i've got a 1yr old eskimo mako 8" 43cc. Love it and has been a great auger for me so far. I do have an issue that i noticed at the start of this season. I have a very slow gas leak from the tank. Without taking it apart I am pretty sure it is leaking from the bottom where the two bolts go into the tank to secure it. Wondering if anyone has taken one apart and if i can simply replace a few rubber o-rings or if i should just buy the replacement tank from Eskimo. Wondering if this is a common prolem and if there is an easy fix.

Thanks for any help!

Just roll em in some Drakes!

Pasch - I have the same auger - had the same problem from day 1. Dealt with it all last season but called Ardisam before the warranty ran out. (only had a few days left!) Told them the problem, faxed purchase date info and they sent me a new tank in a few days no charge. Switched tanks and its all good now. I love my MO!! Good Luck w/ yours...
