SM Lite Flite to Clam Plate

'I bought a Lite Flite 8" and didn't know it needed an adapter to attach it to a Clam plate. Has anyone used the adapter in the pic or used the K-drill adapter?

How's the fit? Did you have to use something to space it?

I like the one you show in the picture.
Being aluminum there is no chance of it rusting to the Clam Plate shaft.

I like the look as well being that it looks like the same octagon shape but I haven't seen one video or comments of anyone using it.
