Title: tip ups fpr craps
Post by: frldyz on Jan 23, 2013, 08:51 PM

heres a crazy idea....
I was thinking.  Since there is going to be a lot of hole drilling a hole hoping.  And we are allowed 2 lines in the water.
What do you think if I drilled a few holes.  And in 2 of those holes I put a minnow down on a tip-up.  That way I could have 2 lines in with bait.  While I try and drill more holes to find a better spot.

This way I can have 2 lines in while im drilling more holes?

crappies will hit tipups.  here in pa we get em fishing for perch all the time.  fatheads a foot off the bottom.

Also don't forget closer to dark... Raise them up about 3 ft off bottom. They will come in suspended up like that ESP when feeding. They will come up more aggressively and take your minnow.

i havent fished for them a lot but it seems the bigger ones are taken on live bait under tip ups.
