WW, bet it was cooler in the cavern.  Days are getting shorter now right ? Longest day is passed, must mean getting cooler too.

Now what to do with a Pioneer Stereo and must be 100 LP's that hasn't been turned on for like 28 years ? Don't believe its ever had any cassettes to play in it either.  Guess they will continue to be used to having pictures parked on top for now.

Moved a fan to help circulate air, and it gave up.  So may be shopping for a replacement some time today.  And get things picked up from the garage sale.  Will have to wait for another week day off before making a run to metal salvage, and Good Will drop off.

The 90+ weather has just about not wanting to go fishing.  I did say about, not completely  ;D

Hope all have a relaxing day with what ever in on your plate.

Good Morning Everyone

The last cooler day before humidity creeps back in :%$#!: The coming week looks hot.

A very busy weekend culminating with an excellent picnic yesterday at my sisters. A couple couldn't make it, but it was a great time that lasted until late afternoon.

IW you asked about my brother's health. He said that for the last couple of months things couldn't be better with his AFib. He said every so often it has a minor hiccup, but nothing like he had experienced over the winter. Thanks for asking.

I spent a lot of time visiting with my nieces and one great niece. A lot of the time I was in the dark when they were talking about favorite movies or computer games ??? but for the most part we sure caught up on a lot of stuff. My great niece has a boy friend and she was all excited to tell me about him, I think she could have spent 2 days if we had the time Lol

After the picnic we did head to the shack to dump a bucket of treats for the bears. It seemed like a quiet week for bear activity. Last time I had a plastic bucket full of frosting that I couldn't get the lid off of. I finally just threw it in the pit and piled logs on it. Here are two of the best videos we got.........

This bear used the camera to help itch a hard spot to reach Lol

Hope everyone has an excellent Sunday   No matter what's on the planner stay safe.

The crazy thing is the s-i-l wears rubber gloves and takes care of the cameras while I dump bait and cover it all up.

Jeff...absolutely no apology needed here Sir!   Hope your wife and MIL arrived safely, enjoy the visit! Have you had anymore visits at the bird feeder from the bear that was hanging around?
Wally..Howe Caverns is a really neat place, how did Mr.WW like it? Not so long ago, they were actually in the running for a casino to be built there....glad that didn't happen. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
H2...good luck this am if your chasing those walleyes!

Bud...best of luck selling off the remainder of the items! Hope you get a break soon from that 90 plus weather, too dang hot!

Should be an interesting week....both the foreman and apprentice are on vacation!   ;D

                        Good  morning Eddie, ER's,
It's 62* and clear here on my hill this morning, another nice day ahead. ::)
Eddie.......Congratula tions on your 34 years together. :flex:   No the bear hasn't been around, we were bringing the
feeder in at night so he probably got fed up and went elsewhere. I heard that a guy about a mile away had a bear attack his feeder and drank
some Hummingbird nectar off his porch. Probably the same bear. :woot:
Wally..... Howe Caverns is a nice place to visit, you should have gone last week when it was in the 90's, that 50* would have felt good.
Bud........Being so hot does it detour people from going out to garage sales? ???
Marv.......Maybe it's something on the rubber gloves the bears like, maybe she should try not wearing cloves as long as she doesn't touch
                        the bait. ???
H2L....... I hope you have good luck chasing the Eyes if you're going out today.
I hope everyone has a good Monday either at work or out fishing!

We are looking at the 90's pretty much through the week.

Congratulations Eddie to you and your wife   Hope you two have many, many more Sir!

WW hope you and the Mr have an excellent day. Did the Mr enjoy the caverns?

I am off for my walk, today I am going to begin 6 miles. I am going to also buy the materials for a retaining wall I am going to re build. This may be my last big project for the summer.

Glad everyone is enjoying the videos, hope to get a bunch more.

Hope you all have an excellent Monday  Stay safe!

Good Morning IW!

Picked up 5 legal eyes today from 17” to 20”. Couldn’t get that last one to limit out. Had 7 short ones too. Hotter than Hades out there 🔥 Didn’t keep anything so no pics...sorry 😞
Will try again in the morning.

Good Morning Everyone,
62* and calm this am, high of 86 here today with some thunder storms expected to roll in this afternoon. The coyotes are whooping it up this morning, driving all the local dogs within ear shot crazy.

Thank You All so very much for the congratulations, passed them on to my wife!

Wally...nice job on the catching yesterday!   Hope today is another good day out there for you and Mr.WW!     What's the water temp. up to now?
I-45.. Hoping everything went well for you yesterday at the Dr.'s Sir! Have seen many guys in my trade over the years suffering from back problems, feel for you and hope they can get it under control soon...
Marv....thats some hot weather to be laying block in, hope you've got some shade in that area, stay hydrated Sir! How did that 6 mile walk go yesterday? Man, that's a long ways buddy! Perfect training for going to Vegas....got a trip to Sin City in mind?    ;D
Jeff...smart idea on keeping the feeder inside. Neighbor was keeping garbage outside their garage in a can and had several visits from a bear awhile back....lesson learned. How's your garden doing now with all this hot weather?

Did some research on my air bag problem, sounds like it is sensor issue. There was actually a recall on it back in 2010, so I might call a dealer and see if they can track my vin# and see if it was taken care of before and if it is still eligible to be serviced by them for free. Another electrical component they located in a foolish place, these are mounted up under the radiator of all places.... :cookoo:
Word yesterday was the Governors Mansion job will be starting up today. Pretty good sized job, demolition of an existing wall and rebuild...1,000 block and about 10,000 brick.
  Cawfee's on....
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

Good Morning Eddie! Good Morning Everyone

71 heading to 87 with the humidity rolling in by noon.

Eddie good luck with the sensor, I hope they can get it fixed and do it for free. It sure sounds like you should have a good shot at it  The walk went fine, getting set for doing it again in a few minutes. The nice thing is I can ride all the way to the bus stop with the wife and just leave from there. No Vegas yet :roflmao:

WW Congrats on the fish  Good luck today

I may have misspoke on the retaining wall. It's actually timbers on the end of the house, set into the ground like telephone poles. The originals are all decayed and need replacing. Once I get them done I will be able to take on the rock flower bed on the end of the house. It will be similar to the rock work I did earlier this Summer just a lot more of them. I wasn't able to do any of it yesterday as the s-i-l dropped off a bunch of hosta she saw by the side of the road for free on her way to work. By the time I got finished planting them it was too hot to start anything.

Hope you all have an excellent day no matter what's on the agenda  As always stay safe

Great news as I turned on the TV this morning. All of the soccer team is out of the cave. Only three Navy Seals left to get them selves out. Sadly a retired Navy Seal lost his life in the effort. It sounds like that countries Seals are of the same caliber as ours.

I am still around just have not posted in a while. Another hot start to the day along with muggy air. Headed to the low 90's next week.

I finished a handicap dog ramp, for our 14 year old lab that will not climb the steps from the dog run, to house yesterday. She will not climb it either even with treats spread on it. The only way we can get her back in the house is to walk her around to the front deck. She jumps up on that deck without taking the one step to get on it.

I finally got started with my therapy for my shoulder yesterday. My therapist and his wife are immigrants from India. I wish all of the immigrants wanting to come here were as great as these two are. They became naturalized as soon as they could get it done. Their 19 year old son is working the check in desk this summer being off from college. When I walked in the door I got a hug from the wife.

I did mange to pick part of the huckleberries picked across the road the other day before my thighs started to ache from bending over to pick them. I got about a pint and a half that are either going in pancakes or muffins.

WS I have a lot of lilies you are welcome to. They have taken over my iris bed so bad that the iris do not bloom. I think I will take them over to my hunting property and plant them along the road this fall. They can spread all they want over there. You are a glutton for punishment working in this heat. There are cooler days ahead! HOPEFULLY

eddie I hope the sensor issue gets fixed with out you having to pay for the fix. To dang much electroincs on vehicles any more that goes out that is not an easy fix. I had to cut off the automatic door locks and interior lights do to electronic issues on the van I am driving. Luckily the van has keyed door locks on the doors.

WW I have no interest in fishing in this heat. Right now I can not even beat the heat by fishing at day light. I can not imagine what the water temps are on our shallow lake. The toon is still sitting in the driveway. All that needs to be done is check the lower unit and clean up the mess from the wind storm.

Evening all,

9 legal eyes today 15 1/2" to 20"  all c&r  ;)   nice NW breeze kept things a bit cooler too

Got back to camp and found these 4 little fellows on the ground

their nest was tipped over on a branch over them, Mom & Dad robin were near by making a racket, MrWW got the ladder out, set the nest upright again and I handed the babies up to him. I was afraid the parents wouldn't go near them after we handled them, but they immediately went back to feeding them    appears all is well for the little ones  @)

Back on the water in the morning  :)

Have a good night. Stay safe.

Good Morning Everyone,
Fair and 59* this am, high of around 80 here today with lots of sunshine.

Wally...if the weather was similar to here yesterday, you picked a perfect day to be out in the boat, great job on the walleyes and helping out the robins!
Jeff...hope the mowing didn't aggravate the shoulder yesterday. How's the garden coming along now?
Tom...that was great news about all of the young boys making it out of the cave!
Marv...have you started the new project replacing timbers?

Logged on ok yesterday am, then had something go wrong with connection before I finished posting...gremlins!
Farmers Market was chock full of people yesterday at the lunch hour...just a beautiful day. They had a local band playing some good older classic songs. There was a young girl dancing near the stage who had Down Syndrome.maybe 12 years old having the time of her life. Her smile was contagious....really special.
At the end of each song, the crowd was clapping....and the young girl took a bow, it was just an awesome sight. She was still dancing when we had to go back to work....
   Cawfee's on....

Good Morning Crew, Heat has me up at 2:20 Got fans running trying to cool the house down. Lower level is fine  A/C has been running overtime.  Garden is begging for water, and not many rain drops in the forecasts, if any over the coming next 5 days.  Work schedule has me off the next 5 days.  See the UV is listed as "Extreme" so if getting outside much, sun screen will be in order.  Had Corp VP in for a look see, guess we passed inspection.  Starting to see the list of part time people that were to come on-board are starting to drop off, with the no word on when the store setup is to begin.  Last comment was I could drive myself the 90 mile round trip if I wanted 6 hours to bring me up to 30 hours for the week.  They will not pay any mileage to get there.  Kinda sucks as our crew has been shoring up their stores that are so badly under staffed.

Nice job on the walleyes WW, think the crawlers I have in the fridge are about to go for a swim.  Catching eyes on the home lake is a real chore now that the shad spawn has occurred and there are billions of them everywhere.

Well time to try out my pillow again.

Good day to all.

Good Morning Everyone

Tough time getting on the last couple of days so this will be short.

WW excellent job on the Walleyes  It's been taking about an hour and a quarter to make the walk the last 3 days.

IW did you get to go for a walk yesterday?

Eddie I have been working on a side job the last couple of days. As a result the timber project is still on hold.
Hope you and the crew are doing well, excellent story about the young girl

I best end it here before it goes poof on me :%$#!:

Best of luck if  hitting the lake  Stay safe!

Morning all,

Eddie......awesome story of the young girl enjoying herself   more of us should stop worrying about "grown up " stuff & just enjoy the simple pleasures in life like music & dancing  ;)

WS.....wow, that's a pretty good pace  :flex:   no room there for idle chit chat along the way :woot:

DN......we're very lucky here to have several excellent fisheries nearby  :)  as much as people bash the DEC I think they do an excellent job managing the waters  ;)

IFF......guess the hew employer is like most other "big box" companies in that the employees are just numbers & are all replaceable  :-\  hope you get a break from the heat soon, tough sleeping when the house stays hot all night  :(

IF45.....hope the back is improving a little with each passing day  ;)

Another nice day shaping up around here before things get sticky again over the next few, so a bike ride is on tap for today  ;D

Have a good day at work or play. Stay safe.
