Big Earl, Muskyon46, and yours truly are going to hit Strawberry from the marina on snowmobiles next Wednesday AM. Come join us if you can. Ice is good at over 24" and slush was minimal last Wednesday for the ride back into the marina at 3:30 PM.

Can't wait, just roughed up the polished clutch walls & put a new belt on my Cadillac trail machine so she's ready to go. Going to be a rough 2 days at work to get to Wednesday. Icecutterion might be in also said he'll let me know asap

Big Earl and I plan on meeting up at the Park-n-Ride lot near the gravel pit near Weber Canyon at 5 AM. We then grab some food/coffee at that new Maverick Station right across the street from there. You can meet us there or at the Strawberry Bat Marina parking lot. We should be at the marina lot about 7:30. We usually make a pit stop at the Maverick Station in Heber on the way up.
And auger extensions will not be required on this trip. ;D

Would like to get in at least one more ice trip this season but have to work Wednesday and don't have a snowmobile to keep up with you anyway. Would like to find the Kokes up thru the ice eventually.

Looking at the temps, now that the NOAA portable unit is back up. It's been below freezing for 10hrs out of the last 24. Still keeping that stuff stiff, for now. I will be meeting up with icejunkie this evening to load his sled up and we will either catch you guys at the park & ride or at the marina parking lot. We are planning on heading out at 5am also. Here's a link to that portable temp unit for those interested. It took me a little bit to figure that site out but its got a ton of weather related info for temp sensors everywhere

What a great trip. Hardly no wind, no slush, blue sky and the fish were biting. Thanks for the invite to join you guys Bob. I'll get some pics up soon. Looks like I only got a couple

Yeah, Big Earl and I couldn't believe the wind didn't kick up. That makes 2 trips in a row we had a severe clear and windless day on Strawberry. Life is indeed good. And thanks for the fishing lesson Matt. :bow:
In case anybody is wondering, Matt spanked the rest of us pretty bad in the catching department; the man was totally on fire. He beat the combined total for the rest of us by a very large margin. I'll be looking to upgrade my ice fishing arsenal today at the ISE with equipment and bait suggested at yesterdays seminar. ;D

Matt is definitely a professional fisherman. If he had a sponsor, one of them would for sure be Prozac so that he could share with those around him. I have seen him do that on more than one occasion and it is amazing to watch.

Oh you guys are to kind, every dog has his day and like the most interesting man in the world would say "I don't go fishing all the time, but when I do I prefer them biting" ;D
