I thought restaurants had to buy from a fish market. Law changed a couple years ago? The state trying to eliminate tax free transactions, same as with the bait.

I may have to start selling perch to pay for my bait  ;D

Any idea on the value of a bucket full?  Do they have to be a certain size?  Do I have to clean them?

Hog island is 1.35 for 8 and up, .40 for 7-8. Not sure on prices for whites, rock bass, sunnies, or crappie... I can find out tonight.

The guy on martell road in alburgh gets 1.40 a pound for 8 and up I believe, and either .70 or .40 a pound for below eight. Hes a pretty good guy and measures every single fish to make sure they get sorted the right way. I have faith he treats his customers fairly, or at least more fairly than some guys do. I know that a overflowing 6 gal bucket of sunnies and gills fetches about $25-30.

A funny thing i learned was that every single establishment that buys fish in vt sells them to rays seafood, then it gets distributed from their. You can sell "Hog Cleaned" perch to grocery stores for much more per pound too, I know A+B up in the islands buys them...

I sold perch to Rays during college to buy my beer..I mean books....they always treated me well.

Is it still the same owners as were there in the late 90's?
