Ice on Iroquois ?
« on: Dec 26, 2005, 04:24 PM »
Has any one been fishing or driving on Iroquois this winter, My self have been on the north end of blackstrap across from shields, The fishing sucks. Or should I say the lack of fish. Have seen lots of white fish on the camera... Thinking of spending the weekend at Iroquois, if the ice is safe. How is every one else doing, it sounds like things are very slow, my brother was at Long lake this week and very slow with a few perch caught.

Was on Iroquios on the 22nd and there was around 14 inches of ice, guys were driving everywhere.  Fishing was very slow, fished all day and caught 4 small pike and talked to a few guys that were fishing for whitefish and they were very slow also.  Heading up to Turtle this week for some big gators.

Cheers.

Thanks for the info, Knowing that you can move around out there may be worth the trip. Thanks again for the reply to the "ice on iroquois".
