Fished on 16 inches of ice today.  One rainbow, one brookie, 5 keeper perch, and a sunfish.  I was a little nervous about the edge.  Hate to think that it'll be about 8 months until next season.  I've said one more time to my wife about 5 times now, but I think I'll go one more time.

Tomorrow will be last day for me. 10" of ice left but getting soft it has been a very good season.

End of the month was the end of the icefishing for us. Saturdays holes were still open Sunday morning. Ice was getting soft. Cleaned and put everything away today. Was a fun season. :)

think me and the boy called it good for the hard water today. Iced 28 at Delmo, still 20" of ice, but edges thawing quick, had to use aprx. 15' log to get back to shore when we left. Time to bust out the long rods.

Still fishing the hard water in NoDak.  Burying the auger almost to the motor to get through.  Picked up 3 northerns and a piggy perch on a Clackin' Rap in 8' of water tonight in an hour or so before dark.  Tried out on the big lake (Sak) yesterday with my wife.  No bites but we had a good time together.  She went home on days off so it was a nice time to spend together.

A 30" northern and a 12.5" perch.

A tape on the perch.

More to come.  I go home for 2 weeks on Tuesday.  Wonder if I'll still need my ice auger when I get back to work at almost the end of April?!?

there is still plenty of ice in the adirondacks.  caught three 18" lakers yesterday on 20" of ice.  the lake was still making ice while we where out there.

Fished a bay on the north end of Devil's Lake today here in ND (I'm over here for work). Ice was nearly 4 feet thick yet. Caught one pike and had another two get away. It was windy and cold enough to be making ice in the holes we drilled all day long but the sun was out and it was still light at 7pm. People still had snow machines out on the ice and the edges were solid too.

Way to go Cornbread. Wish we still had ice like that here. I officially ended my season Wednesday the 17th. Oh well, time to get the 5th-wheel ready for camping and the long poles ready for some mountain lakes. Keep it going & good luck. Take care...............

Going back to work in NoDak this week.  Wonder what rods I'll need?  Better bring them all, big and small!

My brother said the river is open and walleye fishing in the Bismark area is really good right now on the river. Devil's Lake has 4 feet of ice on much of it with a foot or more of crusty slushy snow on top. Fishing has been slow on Devil's lake on the north end bays we were on. Perch bite decent really super early morning then dies for the rest of the day. Pike bite was mid to late afternoon. We were fishing the north end bays south and east of Brinsmade e.g. what used to be Pelican Lake before it merged with Devil's Lake.

Yup, this was one for the books

Definitely the Latest I've ever been on the ice

We were figuring on the way home, we started Nov 27th and went to May 12th, so that was a five and a half month icefishing season

three yrs ago I went Nov 20 to April 20, and at the time I thought I'd probably never beat that five month stretch
