Good morning everyone

49 getting to 70 later on today. The coming week is guessed to be stormy and hot. Our old buddy Les Humid is packing his suitcase

Well last night they were cooking with gas in the Jungle shortly after the curfew started. It was actually a relief so see the protesters rioters running in fear of the National Guard, police, and State Patrol. When push came to shove the crowds scattered like rats getting hit with a bright light. Today is supposed to be filled with many more protests, one of them is protesters protesting being called bad protesters ???

Hope everyone has a good day  Stay safe and safe.

Well Jeff I will say Mrs should feel a lot better today, as he kinda over dosed on laxative.  Me I still have the lingering cough. Been doing the water her flowers, as she is still a little unsteady on her feet.

Now that the locust, and ash trees are now leafing out, will have some dead branches to trim out.

Good evening comfortable day here believe Les Humid will be around for a couple more days. Starting to see protests/marches in my area there was one in New Paltz that thankfully stayed peaceful. (New Paltz is in Ulster county made the national news a fews years back when the then Mayor preformed same sex marriages before they were legal here in NY.) Boiler work in neighboring building still on-going talked with a couple people they have no idea when the job will be completed. Currently have a hose bring water from on building to building where work is being done and hot water supply is being shared between the buildings.
IFF happy to read your wife is feeling better. I"m surprised with all the recent violence that ammo sales have not been banned or amount you can purchase restricted. I understand folks want to protect their home's and businesses but we don't need a bunch of shooting.
Ice Wanderer good to hear Jon did a great job with the wife's garden and she is happy.
Hunts2long glad you beat the crowds and were able to get in and out of Tops quickly. May The Vet get Rocky back to good health.
Wallyworld what police forces and the National Guard are having to do across our country has to be among the more dangerous part of their job.
Whopper Stopper hope your shed project is closer to completion very nice you have a SIL who is willing to help and vice-versa. Watching CNN last night it appeared police and the National Guard were not going to stand by and watch more vandalism and looting. It looked to me like they tried to keep protesters to smaller groups they could more easily handle and were very aggressive in the use of tear-gas and other non-lethal items.
Tomturkey may your roofing be completed and leak free.
Eddie hope all is good . When you return to the Empire Plaza area may you find your work over these past couple of years not heavily damaged.
To all the rest of the 9:45 posters may everything be good with you and your family and your respective areas not see to much violence from any protests.

It seems people are traveling to major cities to join in the protests last night NYC police arrested two sisters from Catskill,NY.(Greene county/Northern Catskill Mountain region) .One was charged with attempted murder after she threw a Molotov Cocktail at an occupied police vehicle, her sister was charged with obstructing governmental administration as she fought with the police while they were arresting her sister.

May everyone have a safe and peaceful night. Good health and fishing to all. Praying our country can come together and beat Covid-19 and start making some needed changes in racial relations.

Steve, My bet is where there are protest going on that there might be some undercover boys that will catch some read handed and have them arrested.  They can only get away with it just so long.  Seems there is already some drone activity.

Wonder what the chance of getting a visit from rona during all this.

Work day was busy, about double in the way of ammo sales, and firearm sales up 30%.

Good morning ER's,
It's 36* and mostly clear here.
Bud........Jist like at the beginning of the pandemic, ammo and gun sales up. People  think they'll need it to protect themselves.
Steve........My #3 son was here yesterday and told my wife and me that there is a planned protest in Lake George on Friday. It goes to show that organisers from other states are going from state to state  to disrupt  our country.
H2l..........I aim to please, doing everything  one handed is entertaining  here. I tell my wife that I don't want to be waiting on me every time I need something.
Wally........Its a little chilly but maybe you and Mr. WW will get out on the lake today.
Marv........May things quiet down in Minneapolis  and the rest of the country.
Eddie......I hope all is well with you and your family. We all concerned about your absenence fro the morning addiction.
Yesterday was a cool day, Magic Mike came over in the morning and mowed my lawn, I had to almost force him to take payment. He eventually did.
I hope everyone has a good Monday either at work or out. Stay Safe and Healthy.

Morning all,

Thoughts and prayers to all affected by the senseless violence taking place everywhere  :(  thank you to the men and women in law enforcement and military that are facing off with the protesters every night  :callcops:  :flex:  they are in a no win situation thanks to the actions of a FEW bad apples  :(

IW......nice of MM to do your mowing and Jon to get the garden planted  :flex:

IFF.....glad to hear MrsIFF is doing a little better   fingers crossed the increased gun/ammo sales are for self protection "just in case" and not for random shootings "just because"  :nono: :pinch:

WS....hope you had a good weekend and were able to wrap up the shed project  ;)2

MrC.....3 local WalMarts shut their doors yesterday afternoon amid threats of violence from protesters here  :o :cookoo: :%$#!:  reports say they're closed until further notice  :(

H2L.....thoughts and prayers for Rocky, hope he's doing better today and can avoid surgery  ;)

Big plans today......first haircut since February   my last appointment was set for the day AFTER everything shut down  ::)

Have a good day. Stay safe, stay healthy.

38* and a heavy mist coming off the lake. Not many on the lake yesterday.
IW, it is good that you are able to post. Tells us you are going in the right direction.

Thanks for the thoughts about Rocky. The vet called Lindsay last evening and gave an update. Rocky seems to be doing somewhat better and will give her a call this morning.

I, too wish things would get better in the cities around our country. So many "Mom and Pop's" business' will never come back after this and the Covid.

Good evening still enjoying my time with Les Humid. I will have to see what action is taken one local tattoo pallor has opened in defiance of state orders. Boiler work appears to be finished here at my complex.
IFF probably are undercover officers among protesters observing members of the crowd. You are not the only one concerned/wondering if Covid-19 cases rise from all the protests.
Ice Wanderer may things stay peaceful this Friday in Lake George. Some groups are using all the protests to push their message/agenda and will use violence to accomplish that agenda.
Wallyworld hopefully around June 9TH I will be able to make an appointment for a haircut. Think my last cut was shortly before Christmas. To take part of the lyrics from Crosby Stills Nash and Young song "Almost Cut My Hair" I've been letting my "Freak Flag" fly.
Hunt2long good to hear Rocky is doing better .
Eddie ditto Ice Wanderer's words.

Have a good night. Please pray as the famous song says that God will Bless America.

Another 90's day rain never showed up.  Fired up the 6hp Johnson, believe it needs a new impeller, so will put the extra electric back on for tomorrow.

Going to have company in the boat in the morning, will be taking the grandsons fishing with me.  One of those rare opportunities that to have them along.  Hope I can put them on some fish.

Hope I can get some good pictures of fish porn to post.

Good morning ER's,
It's 45* and clear here on my hill. We were suppose to get some rain yesterday, the radar showed it but never did rain. The guessers radar even lies.
H2l.........I think I'm heading in the right direction, I will know tomorrow when I see the Dr.
Steve.....In less things change tattoo shops can open June 3. My #4 son works in one, they can only do by appointments.  Glad the boiler work is finished at your complex.
Dave......Glaf to hear it riot free in Yellowknife.
Wallly/Bud......I wish the best of luck to the both of you out on the open water.
Riots have seemed to become more peaceful over night, I hope that the trend remains that way.
I hope everyone has a good Tuesday either at work or out, Stay Safe and Healthy.

Good morning everyone

77 to kick the day off with almost 90 for a high. Les has packed his bag and his ugly Brother will be around today.

WW best of luck on the water today

Bud enjoy your day with the grandson

IW hope you have a good day while continuing to mend  The rioting slowed here for a night then last night there was 65 people at the Capitol that landed themselves in jail. I have no idea how long this is going to continue.

My little shed fix is almost in the books. This morning when I get home from my walk I am going to start a fire and burn a bunch of old lumber. I also need to make some hangers for the shed for tools etc, and I need to put some spray foam in a couple of holes to keep the wasps and hornets out of it. I am happy how the restoration  turned out, it sure took some work to to bring it back. I will post some pictures tonight after "The Office" closes.

Hope everyone has a good day  Stay safe and healthy.

I came home from the other place exhausted and exasperated Sunday  night. The sheets of metal pieces were shorter than they should have been. I just got off of the phone where I bought the steel. He started to give me the run around but finally agreed to deliver the 10 12 inch pieces the other house as I had pictures of their mistake.

Marv This crap over what happened to the guy in Minneapolis has gotten out of hand. They destroyed part of downtown Grand Rapids Sunday night. They mayor put a 7 pm curfew on. I have never seen so many State Police on bicycles. Things were actually pretty after the curfew started. Some of the State Cops should have been in Kalamazoo as that was the target for last night. It was not as bad there fortunately.

The wonderful part of all of the destruction is that volunteers had showed up to clean up the mess.

Our governess called out the National Guard. Hopefully they issued bullets for their guns unlike when the riots in Detroit. The Guard had guns but no bullets.

She has loosened up some of the restrictions but no hair cuts!!! Her hair is still the same length and one of the women that  sings for her has had her hair cut and high lighted. I guess she and her cronies are exempt for the restrictions.

Marv I hope my suggestions made the redo of your shed helped you get it done.

IFF I hope your grandsons out fish you. that will rally make their day.

Time to head out the door to pick up dog food for the mutts. The new pup is a holy terror. I thought I had found a cure for her taking the water dish and running through the house spilling water all over. that is a bad joke. I have one more idea. Hopefully that works.

Sheeze Dr. Speckler hope you have better days a coming.

Well today was an adventure all right.  Had the older boy hold the bow line as I backed in, only to have the clip release its self, Tyson had instructions to flip the rope over the upright on the trailer, and as I got out to show him how to properly tie off on a dock cleat, he points and say its leaving, sure enough its floating away toward the other dock.  Have never had that happened before.  Right then and there I told myself, that was not good.  walked over tied off, park truck and trailer, back to the boat.  Fired up the big motor, and nope would not shift out of neutral to forward or reverse.   :o ok, plan B deploy the electric bow motor.  Hum, it turns but motor not running. plan B+ give it a thump.  Nada not running :-[ on to plan C, turn on transom electric and start to first promising area, get all rigged and baited Tyson gets the first one just short of legal, forgot to take picture.  Next one younger brother gets into the act.

And yeah they out fished me  ;) ;) ;D albeit no legal ones to the boat.  Wind started stirring up some white caps, and had to hold my breath that batteries would last getting us back to the dock.

now some pictures maybe ?  guess not, not able to save them from phone ::)

while I fight trying to get them off the I-Phone, Phone rings.  Camping World Manager is calling....Wants me back....Full Time with a pay raise.  Must need someone that can cook Hot Dogs and Burgers ?????  ::) :roflmao:

Good evening everyone

Bud, sounds like a memorable day fishing with Grandpa

The "Office" has closed for the day so I figured I would post a couple pictures of my project before I forgot about it.

The shed that I have been working on was actually a 10’ x 14’ one car garage.  When we moved to our home almost 30 years ago the building was already in place. The former owner had it hauled in and dropped off. It had been sawed off tight to the ground and other than adding some wafer board for a floor, it was an instant building. Over the years it gained a warp, twist, and had an irritating sway in the middle.

The former owner used it to store a tractor and later a small car in it. Somewhere along the way he nailed some odds and end sheeting to the studs and dumped packing peanuts in between the walls for insulation. The building had an old wood roll up garage door on it, the few times I needed into the shed proved to be trying to say the least. I remember one time trying to get into it and the door wouldn’t budge. I got a jack and was able to get it just high enough to slide my big belly under it and into the dark confines of the structure. As I jiggled and pried the jammed door it came to my attention, I wasn’t alone in there ??? I spotted a rotten void in one of the rotted corners which held hundreds of P. O. wasps in the process of swarming, looking to go on a kill mission  Yeah, I still have that nightmare from time to time, mostly around Halloween. I did luck out and only got stung 10 times which is when I found out I am highly allergic to them. I also lost some skin on my belly and shins as I made a hasty exit under the still jammed door, but they fixed me up fine at the Hospital while I was waiting for the Epinephrine to kick in.

Shortly afterwards, I replaced that original door and made a double door out of plywood. It stayed that way for a long time until I decided to finally get a roll up door.

One of the first problems to show was not having enough room for the new door. I had to raise the rafter support to get 20” of clearance.

I decided to rip out the inner wall which frankly was gross. The peanuts were all mouse urine and bat guano. That’s when I found a bunch of studs that needed replacing, and the bottom of the siding was rotting from ground moisture.

I put a 14" skirting around the building with 1/2" plywood which was later primed, painted, and caulked.

There were a couple rafters that were broken that I fixed, and I also had to replace the facia and a couple of rafter tails that TT told me how to deal with.

I ripped out the old floor and replaced it with some ¾” green treat plywood. The old shed is far from perfect but it should last as long as I will need it. I am going to keep my mowers and yard tools in it, along with some tinkering plywood. I took some Great Stuff and filled any holes that a wasp could fit into, not going through that again ever :nono:

Once it was painted inside and out, it turned into a nice little storage shed. I know a new one would have been over $10,000 and I only have $400 into restoring this one.

WW nice to see stripped kitty didn't return.  Waiting for 8:00 to call the cable tech that was here yesterday to figure out why the TV apps were not loading.  He switched out the control box, updated the dish, and went to use the TV downstairs and ah, something wong.....needs reprogrammed  :cookoo: :%$#!:

Hey who emptied the coffee pot ?.  Oh guess I did.  ::)

Not so funny thing happened when loading the boat, youngest Grandson was admiring a guys 22' speed boat and telling him all about his catch.  The couple requested a picture be taken with their phone.  And of course wanted the other G Son to take it.  Teens rule when it comes to doing that  ;D

56* and some sun.

Dr. S my thoughts are with you. Hope you are feeling better.

WS, the shed looks great. I am sure we all would have loved to see video of you being chased out the shed.

WW, not sure going after walleyes is the answer. Got the "skunk" yesterday. Got rained on for an hour or so but then the wind came up to dry everything out. Water temp had dropped 12*, down to 60 yesterday morning. I did put a 6 inch SMB in the boat but can't count it, fowl hooked..lol

Have a good day and stay well....h2l

Good Morning ER's humidity has left after 89* heat and mega humidity. Nice job on your shed Marv looks great. Those stinging critters can be deadly hope you have seen the last of them. Nice assist to TT on the rafter tails. IW hope your appointment goes well. WW nice King and battling the waves. I finally got the roof rack on the car and seems to stay in place even though I'm off a bit on the placement. The jon boat is only 10 ft. so I might just leave it where it is. Good day ,brief period of heavy rain around 12:30AM  the blue sky earlier today is now cloudy weather guessers calling for spotty showers and chance of thunderstorm later today. Peaceful protest and march north of me yesterday in Poughkeepsie after meeting in one of the city's parks about one hundred people made a round trip march over one of the bridges that spans the Hudson River. In over news related to  protests over George Floyd's death a fire chief from a department located in the middle of my county is on suspension after posting racist comments about protesters on his Facebook account.
Dr.Speckler soory to hear of your medical problems. May you be able to get your needed medication soon and find out where you can visit a doctor your insurance will cover.
IFF glad you were able to get the fishing trip in with your grandson's in spite of the motor problems and boat almost drifting away from the launch area. hope your wife is feeling better. Gander Outdoors must be in need of good workers your choice but if I remember your current commute is shorter something to consider given your wife's health.
Drifter I see it is still a little chilly up in Yellow Knife. Glad you have not seen any problems related to the protests now spreading around the world.
Wallyworld very nice looking lake trout I give the two of you credit for fishing that long in bad weather. It appears your stylist did not cut off to much hair unless you did not get an appointment the other day.
IceWanderer may the doctor be happy with your healing and the graft . We are about a week behind your area in terms of entering Phase 2 of Covid-19 business reopening.. The tattoo shop owner claims he works alone all tattoo's done by appointment and shop is sanitized daily he and customer's will wear masks and work equipment and surfaces cleaned after each tattoo.
Whopper Stopper nice job on the shed kind of Mr.Turkey to give your advice on the rafter tails. Good you finished the job before weather got to hot and humid.
Hunts2long quite the drop in water temperature may things be better on your next trip. Is Rocky back at home with Lindsay.
Tomturkery sorry you had problems with the metal roofing good you were able to get it fixed and complete the job. Sorry to hear about the protest related problems in parts of your state.
Old Goat may it be a good year for your daughter once she returns to college. Unfortunately not all housing rented to college students is in good condition  some renters do not respect the property and owner only does needed repairs and other things to meet local and college reqiurements for rentals.

Everyone have a good day stay safe and many any protest in your area stay peaceful.

Morning all,

Going to try our luck with the eyes this morning, figure if we don't have any luck at least it's a much shorter drive than going after browns/kings  ;)2

Have a good day. Stay safe, stay healthy.

MrC....I did get my haircut Monday, decided since it was so long anyway it was time to grow it out again so she only trimmed/shaped it :)  and that pic wasn't very flattering with the wind pushing it straight up  ::)

Eddie continued thoughts and prayers for you and your family. Everyone is concerned.

Thanks to those that commented on the shed, much appreciated.

I am out the door. Heading to a musky lake and am spending the day. The weather isn't conducive but I am ready to throw a few.

Hope you all have a good day  Stay safe and healthy.
