I have never tried fishing for lakers until now! It is very cool! My first one was 22" 3 lbs 1 oz and the second was 31" and 9 lbs. Sorry you can't read the tape but it was all I had.

Nice fish. The only Trout we have around here are stocked rainbows. We catch a lot of them, but they are only 10 to 12 inches at best. Nothing like that. :)

Nice Job. It is sad how i could tell that was lake george just from the background. Are you off of Hague somewhere?

Thats not Lake George. We were at Otsego Lake.

Thats a nice lake trout, maybe its my turn tomorrow at lake george with my budie got-em at hearthstone good luck. :'( :'( :'(
-
Whoops, I guess its sad how wrong i was.

They both have similar characteristics, such as the hills you see in the background. Both are set in beautiful locations. But George is a helluva lot bigger than Otsego, which is about 4000 acres.

Bussman, nice fish. I'm thinking that your 1st one (22") might be a splake? Looks like it, but can't tell for sure.
-
No, there are no splake in Otsego. No stockies, no brookies to cross with. It was just a pale color.
