Title: New Moon
Post by: TRT on Feb 13, 2018, 02:03 PM
Anyone have good - bad experience fishing new moon? My favorite including +1, +2, +3 (one to three days before)
although I learned to avoid cod/haddock fishing on a new moon. Crazy tide makes it difficult to stay on the bottom.
Yes, I am getting up early to fish NEK tomorrow.

The biggest striped bass every year are caught in June around the new moon phase.  I have found that to be true for me as well. That week of the moon I drop off the earth to everybody and everything and fish my balls off
