Great first outing of the year.

Finally made it out for the first trip of the year. Thermostat read -1° as I was walking out the door this morning but I knew I had to make the best of it. 7 of us met up to hit one of our favorite spots and it did not disappoint. The flags were pretty steady all day. All of us caught at least 1 bass over 4lbs and plenty more. Once the sun was up and the temperature reached a balmy 5° my wife and 8 month old son came out to visit us. I believe I have a fishing partner in the making. What a day!

I can still picture my wife changing my sons diaper while laying him on top of Yellow Sally ( my home built ice fishing box on skis).
