I've seen it way too many times this year...

The same reason I'm only doing 1 derby next year ;)

I love the dumb down comment.  It sucks being a hard core ice fisherman, we spend way to much money and time preparing for that big moment, that never happens.  We might catch more fish than some but its always that slacker that wins the big money.

Eh, well to each thier own I suppose. My point was, you've got a much improved chance of landing a fish if you are using a vex, than if you're not. Again, I'm not griping, just pondering and trying to figure out how to convince the wife that I should have one ;D. Yup I'm jealous.

Scott Dube gave me a demo on the Vex a few weeks ago and made a believer out of me... They work

I'm sure it'd have the same effect on me. I still haven't figured out exactly how they work. Guess I'll have to see on sometime.

Yeah, thats quite a ridge out there!  We fished between squaw and Indian all day- about 30 traps and 4 jig rods, one hit on the jig, and no flags(although one guy did catch a skimmer- one helluva fight!!) :).  At least we are consistant out there.  Saw some guys on the other side of the ridge from us, a ways out with a few flags- but had a great time anyway

Skunk!!! But it was a good day, plenty of good food, cold beer and good friends. Here are a few pics. Maybe better luck tomorrow... Any other I.S. members have any luck?

Yep, conditions are good. Plenty of ice, only a couple inches of powder on top which most is packed down by now. Good Luck.

Big skunk a tola for me. Dube had one flag that took out a crap load of line but was gone when we got to it. Had a good day at the zoo though. At least it was a nice day.

Get this, a little after noon I had a group set up a motorcycle race track. Guy plows an oval for them to race on, now the funny part... He does in right in the middle of my spread. lol

I had two traps in on the infield of his new track and two right on the outside. Has to cross the track to tend my spread. No that it mattered, seemed the fish were somewhere else. They didn't even fish??? I took some video I will see how it came out and try and post it. I decided to take a nap on the seat of the wheeler.

Gonna try something different tomorrow. Don't know what yet.

Did get to meet the group that came up from NY. It was Pacman and his gang. Good bunch of guys. Enjoyed getting to know them.

i fished squaw today also.  lost a 8 to 10 lber at the hole after a 5 minute fight.  My friend reached in the hole to soon and set him free. I was swearing for the longest time. We ended up with one fish and several hits.
