If I dont have to plow and sand, im interested.
If you fish the wrong lure long and hard enough it will eventually become the right lure!

I'm just busting his chops because he would be catching all the fish after seeing this past season. Love to fish with him. Like to see some monster cusk get caught.

For those that are not familiar with West Grand it has some excellent togue (5 aday limit) salmon, whitefish and cusk fishing. It is open to icefishing February and March only. My wife sat on a bucket and jigged one hole and caught 15 fish while jigging  :o. She caught all of the fish mentioned above on a wheeping willow. Double didget togue are not uncommon.

I'm in. I've been asking for a trip like this for a while now. I'm kind tired of the Moosehead trip becasue I love to fish new bodies of water.

During the West Grand I stayed at Canal side,Smeltslayer also was there, they told us they had room enough for 34 people so all I need is a date that most can live with between Feb 1st and March 31st and some suggestions making this all work. By the way they checked 90 togue the first day of the derby and 25 the second day but the wind was blowing about 40 the 2ed day, fathers day. :P

Can anyone suggest some dates that would not interfere with other events? I will do what I can to put this together. Any recommendations?

Ok,I have some info.
Canalside has 6 cabins total they can accommodate 26-27 people comfortably. This is how many each cabin will hold 7,4,4,4,3 or 4 this is without roll away beds or sleeping on the couch so more people may be accommodated.  They charge $44 per person per night. The first week of Feb is not available but the second and third week of Feb is open. I did not ask about March but that may be a option as well. So if we want all 6 cabins we need to drum up $600 to hold them. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

PS they also offer FREE COYOTE HUNTS OVER BAITS for anyone staying in their cabins. These are heated blinds in the woods. This might be cool to do a night or two.
I belive they have shantys for rent as well.
