I don't think the ice will be drivable this year like last. Parking may be tight. I had trouble parking last year and there were hundreds of vehicles on the ice. I will probably sleep on the ice, please don't drive through my shanty. Good luck to all hopefully the PATS aren't playing a Saturday game.
How much ice is on sabattus?
8 inches i heard a guy drove all over it today 7 plus hope to see you again this year !!!
decent ice making conditons all this week and still another week to go ...I think we will be looking good...good enough for my rig!!
Fliers are being printed today....will be put up any/every where I can in Knox county!!!
you bringin you sis again ?
Larry you were there last year???Damn i didn't see ya. Are we sleeping on the ice this time?I will be there again Jay! See ya Friday.
Yep she is pumped ! she had such a great time last year that she is already looking forward to this years . she caught a lot of fish last year so it will be tough to top that day!!
I'll alert the Media !
Great cause....Great time last year. There was way too many pike left on the ice. I fish Sabattus year round and noticed that not many pike caught in the 4-6# range this summer. Do us all a favor if you aren't going to turn it in........put it back for another day.
If you don't eat it is there a reason to kill it? I would understand if it were a trout pond. I throw them all back unless I want to eat them. Some guy had a sled full of them last year, good way to teach your kids to just kill everything they catch. People are ignorant. I drive up there a few times a year from NH to fish with my Mainer friends. I have the respect not walk on some one else turf and throw a bunch of dead fish on the ice. I don't think all the pike fisherman would go to a trout lake and throw every trout and salmon they caught on the ice. Show some class and be a sportsman.
If everyone had class and was a sportsman, the pike wouldn't even be here in the first place.
Thanks! Just what I am looking for. How far from Sebago?
