It would be wise to put it back with sincere apologies. I have photos with folks on Gorham, Standish, Limington, and Sebago Fire Department. Also, my brother in-law works for Gorham Police. The Ice Shanty Militia is on top of it. I would guess that it is only a matter of time before someone sees its unique design. Again, you scumbags grabbed the wrong shack. Paint wont matter. PUT IT BACK.

Dude & I were talking about the loss of your shack and his theory probably makes sense.

Maybe you should post a thread on the hunting forum! That camp would make a great wood or tool shed for a hunting camp.

I live in gorham and will keep my eye out for it. Nice shack and should be easy to spot. These fools better be out of maine by now because with this many eyes out looking for it, it should be found!!!

All over it, if any of my fishing partners or I see it here in Southern NH, you`ll be the second to hear about it. First being local FnG/Police. Keep an eye out here in my haunts. Chances are the passing hunters grabbed it and relocated it in the woods at another of thier spots. Be pretty stupid to put it out on a lake for all to see. Dikhayds. Be nice to catch em sleeping in the woods in it, Lock the door from the outside, load rounds into the shottie and call up the police! Hope ya get it back, looks like you and yer crew had sum quality times in it.

Wow, what kinda world is it when you cant even leave your shack out? Ive never had my shack stolen, but have had my tree stands stolen before. rediculus. I fish ALOT of southern maine and am ALWAYS on craigslist, so you can bet if i hear/see something youll be the first to know..

we all need to do like we did our atvs. we took about 20 feet of aircraft tiedown cable and locked it to a cement anchor and buried it like 5 foot down in the dirt floor in our shed. then padlocked the other end to the front of theatv frame out of sight. then we waited for the guys who tried stealing them to come back and waited and laughed as we called the police and the rescue out to pick up two sore guys and there girlfriends who went head over heals into the dirt... the police were laughing and said we shouldnt set traps but he was laughing real hard.

we sholud take our shanties and freeze a cable in the ice and hope the guys are on atvs trying to steal them make sure the cable is long enough to let them get a running start.......

Thats real low. I agree that it could possibly end up somewhere other than on the Ice. We will keep a eye out down here too.I wish someone would steal mine, i would like to make a new and improved one!

Sounds like you should have taken care of it better with that much invested in it. Did you or a friend own the land?

It is unfortunate he lost his shack. If it was just left on someone elses property without permission (this is only a guess, that is why I asked who owned the property) than maybe he needs to check with the landowner. I know what the landowners do in the area where I fish and ice shacks are left. I hear they are burned or taken away by the landowner. Hopefully the landowner would have enough onions to tell the truth if that is the case with this gentlemans shack. If not, then I hope someone finds the shack with the theive(s) sitting in it.

If you'd actually read his post you'd see that it was taken from his own property and took planning and work to pull it off.

Wow lots of fellow Gorhamites here! Sorry to hear about your shack, we will keep our eyes out for it. People wonder why it gets harder and harder to find places to hunt, why more and more property gets posted, then something like this happens and it all becomes much clearer.
